As Treadwell’s Managing Principal, John is the candleholder of our core values. With an early career foundation in nonprofit programs, and an educational background in software development, John was fortunate to enter the nonprofit performance management space while ETO software was still in its adolescence.

After getting a taste of the intersection of nonprofits and technology, John knew he found his professional calling. He spent years developing a keen technical and strategic mindset for creating powerful data systems for nonprofits, blending the most important aspects of our work: passion for doing good work well, and technological curiosity and aptitude.

For a time, John was the chief report writer and team lead for ETO Results at Social Solutions (now Bonterra), and is well regarded as one of the most technically proficient report writers practicing today.

At Treadwell, John both leads our mission to provide valuable impact-based services to our client organizations and serves in advanced technical roles for ETO Results and our advanced automations.

Personally, John spends time with his wife and young children on rural Whidbey Island, WA. He is passionate about cooking and exterior illumination, and craves a day or two of skiing each year.
