CLAUDIA SAMUEL
Consultant
SPECIALTY: Apricot
Claudia brings over a decade of experience in child welfare and nonprofit data systems, with a strong focus on helping organizations better serve vulnerable populations through effective data management. She spent 11 years working within a child welfare organization, partnering closely with foster care and adoption teams, before transitioning into system administration and consulting roles. As an Apricot Administrator for three years and a consultant for another three, Claudia has supported a wide range of nonprofits, including those focused on domestic violence, homelessness, workforce development, substance use, and youth services.
One of Claudia’s standout career achievements includes serving as Lead Project Manager for a large-scale system transition, guiding an organization of 200 staff across four program areas and more than a dozen locations from a legacy case management system to Apricot. Her hands-on experience across both programmatic and technical roles allows her to bridge the gap between frontline needs and system functionality.
Claudia is known for her collaborative problem-solving style – she believes the best solutions come from talking things through and working closely with others. She especially enjoys using tools like Wizard Links to streamline workflows and improve user experience within Apricot.
Originally born in Italy and raised as an army brat, Claudia spent much of her childhood in Kansas before settling in North Carolina, where she has lived since 2000. Her career has always been rooted in supporting those who serve others. While she recognizes that direct service isn’t her personal calling, she’s passionate about empowering caseworkers by improving the data systems they rely on every day.
Outside of work, Claudia enjoys listening to audiobooks, hosting gatherings with family and friends, and tackling New York Times daily games. She’s a proud dog mom to Judah, a rescue golden retriever with a laid-back personality and a love for constant attention. Coffee is her go-to, The Office is her comfort show, and she’s a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan by marriage. If she could have any superpower, she’d choose the ability to fly and see the world.
